Really the **** moment was that 4/7 collapse on Day 3. Burgey was spot on, we should have buried them then and there.
There was a noticeable drop in intensity after the kohli wicket in the second innings too. They had us at effectively 33-4.

Smith also says he didn't think S Marsh was out, told him to "go", meaning go for the review but Marsh misunderstood & walked off. #INDvAUS

DRS becomes so strategic and precious in low-scoring matches. It adds or should add a whole other dimension to regular preparation. Non-strikers, for example. have no business standing on the return crease, like Smith was today. Make sure you have the umpire's perspective, or as close to it as possible.

He doesn't need bad decisions to get out to spin. Surely they won't pick him anyway, may as well play a blind no armed midget as he'd score more runs than he does against spin.
He's literally missed full tosses on the forward defensive against off-spinners go get out LBW. He's proper bad against spin.

I've never much enjoyed attempts to discredit bowling performances based on conditions. It still takes quality bowling to take advantage of conditions.

For example, I think at times Lyon looked really dangerous in India's second innings but was unlikely to take a wicket because he was probably overspinning it. It's like when visiting seamers get to the WACA and bowl about a foot and a half too short to 'take advantage of the bounce'

Generally Australia got distracted by conditions in India's second knock. They were sending down every delivery like it was 'the ball' rather than just bowling like normal.

Although, that doesn't explain why TPC didn't, you know, call him back
Probably couldn't hear for his life out there. Nigel was yelling at him as he made that nod to the dressing room to cut that out and Smith didn't hear him at all.
