Yeah absolutely he does. The time for bright and relatively breezy 20s and 30s is over. He needs to make a big score here (in the context of the game) or he can gagf.

He hasn't been bad so far. Made a very useful 38 last game and his second innings failure was only because the plan was to go after the bowling hard.

In this game he scored the bulk of the runs in a 50 run opening partnership which is pretty handy as well. Wouldn't be too harsh on him.

Yeah I think there's an important but subtle difference between being naturally pessimistic and actually Gambhiring. I actually find even the former kind of annoying at the extremes, but at least it's sincere. Gambhiring is a poison on the community, and while it's funny when someone says something that soon after seems like a jinx, the amount of posts dedicated to the whole jinxing/anti-jinxing trope in the match threads these days has gone too far and is making them a bit infuriating at times. I've actually given up following a day's play on CW a couple of times lately. There needs to be some sort of push back against it.
