Brisbane and Perth Tests were played on absolute roads as well, I don't see how serving up a 503/1 pitch (bearing in mind a significant amount of overs were bowled by non-bowlers) was radically different?503/1 maybe?

The traffic is pretty horrible. I suppose there are worse places to live in India, though.Haha ya Bangalore is supposedly a ****-hole these days.
Get your beta self off the thread TJB.
wrong about what? I still haven't seen a single relevant response to anything I've said.man dude you're wrong give up already
Really mate? He clearly means if the pitch changes depending on the opposition that is being played. Not depending on the country the pitch is in.That makes literally no sense. So all pitches are doctored?
I'm not tuning in for thisI heard the second test will be a sporting one, so that she be fun. If is then Australia will be eyeing for another win. They are probably high on confidence right now. But then again, people also need to understand that all their main batsman bar Steve Smith and Renshaw struggled to produce scores. India for all we know just had a poor test match.
Be careful in case someone bops Shami over that way for six....I think I'll be in the stand somewhere around backward-square-leg/extra-cover. Hope I get a good view. Can't wait.

Of course it makes sense and I am a bit stunned I have to actually explain it. The pitch for the first test was a dust bowl and it could said that this was because India fears Australia's pace attack. A test match is played at the same ground next year against Sri Lanka and the pitch is quick and bouncy because India is worried about Herath. That would be a doctored pitch because the conditions have changed in an attempt to suit the home side's strengths. However if the same dust bowl was rolled out for Sri Lanka that would not be a doctored pitch because condition at the ground are consistent. That makes literally no sense. So all pitches are doctored?
They should operate on Warne and install a voicebox that can be muted when he's dribbling the sort of **** he did about O'Keefe in the 1st Test. In fact, it should only be turned on when he's talking about the art of legspin and nothing else.Oh God can you imagine Warne on the next match
"Yea well, this game's gonna be a real test for Steve on a Test-standard pitch now..."
"A guy like Steve is great on a bunsen because so many of his deliveries just go straight on, but when you got a proper Test wicket, it's bowlers like Lyon who you turn to..."
Really?Haha ya Bangalore is supposedly a ****-hole these days.
Really?
Went there a few years ago (say 5) and found it relatively nice
It's gotten far, far worse in the last 4-5 years. It was still one of the best cities in India till around 2012 or so. Since then, everything has fallen off a cliff.I went there for cricket in 08 in November, felt it was better than the other major cities in terms of cleanliness and traffic
Cities like Pune and Banglaore have gone from one extreme to another in a matter of a decade. It's gotten far, far worse in the last 4-5 years. It was still one of the best cities in India till around 2012 or so. Since then, everything has fallen off a cliff.
Traffic wise, it's now comfortably the worst in India.-
According to that article someone posted here, Bangalore will apparently become "uninhabitable" by 2025. So it's still got loads of time before it becomes as bad as Chennai. How does it compare with Chennai?
