It is strange... can`t work out this pitch. Sometimes the timing has been brilliant other times the batsmen really struggling. Would expect the slow bowlers to have enjoyed but still went for runs. But Morris just bowled poorly at the end there. The ease with which Southee was middling it at the end makes me suspect we're we'll of a good score here.
SA have an excellent batting line-up & the boundaries are small, but I am excited by the prospect of Sodhi on this wicket & the more we can take pace off the ball, the better. I'd even prefer Munro to Neesham for 1-2 overs. The ease with which Southee was middling it at the end makes me suspect we're we'll of a good score here.
I'd go marginally under par in 34 overs. even though the wicket holding up at times, that should be negated by the small boundaries. I said earlier 255 would be a very good total from 34 overs which probably makes 220 about par for me.Great ending and nice to see de Grandhomme coming off against some good bowlers. But yeah, I too suspect this is a par score. Could've been much more if someone in the top 5 had stuck around with KW. Too big an ask for Neesham and Santner to dominate that attack at that point, I suppose we should be glad they at least averted a collapse.
Eh, he connect well with three shots, it can happen. Missed a whole lot earlier too, and I still think it's a tricky wicket. SA have the quality to make them favourites but NZ have a fair chance imo.The ease with which Southee was middling it at the end makes me suspect we're we'll of a good score here.
Canterbury got away with one against Wellington yesterday that soared over Hamish Marshall as he jumped and tried to ramp it. Bryan Waddle still seemed upset about the quality of umpiring today.Jeez Rabada's got away with about 3 wides above head height today, unless there's some new rule I'm unaware of that it has to be some distance above the head.
Hmmm...not sure if this is going to be enough to get us across the line. Zinzan off his best today.I'd go marginally under par in 34 overs. even though the wicket holding up at times, that should be negated by the small boundaries. I said earlier 255 would be a very good total from 34 overs which probably makes 220 about par for me.
Tries way too many things. Good to have variety, but just not enough consistency in his new ball spells these days.Southee bowled a truly beautiful out swinger there. At his best he'd have followed it up with another 3 or 4 inches closer to off stump. Here he bowls with a long hop sliding down leg.
Haha, you've stolen my NZambhring mantle.Hmmm...not sure if this is going to be enough to get us across the line. Zinzan off his best today.
It is on slow-mo, but live I thought it was pretty out. Pitched middle and off. Shocked by how much it turned.Lol, that's a shocking decision
