***Official*** England in India 2016/17

Buttler has been so confusing this tour. He has been decent in the test series where I though he would be **** but he has been **** in the ODIs where I thought he would destroy. He was fine here tbh but really should have had 7 from 4.

He needs to bat higher up. Needs to face enough balls.. Will absolutely annihilate sides. Use Root like CSK uses Badrinath.

Sending Raina one down today was a stupid call. The management seems to be tinkeing a tad too much with personnel/batting order. Maybe open with Pant and KLR and have Kohli one down with Yuvi/MSD at 4 and 5. Jadhav or Raina at 6 would be ideal for the current setup with Pandya at 7.

Whatever it takes!!!
Given the 3rd umpire checks for no balls on all wickets, no they couldn't
I don't think they do, actually.

Anyways I agree that the umps ****ed up. For all we know England could have still lost, but wen an esp clutch decision goes against you like that, every fan can rightfully feel aggrieved and allege bias. FWIW, I don't think they were biased as in real time, to me, the Kohli one looked the real bowler, the other two were more understandable as umpiring errors.

Anyways we were lucky to win this as England should have won even inspite of that bad decision in the last over. Hopefully Bangalore can produce a great game and not have Shamsudin as the umpire.

I agree I don't think England can blame umpiring decisions. Just choked with the bat, Root terrible last few overs.

Would Jadhav even be effective in these games if he was selected?

Yuvraj, though, seems to be easily bogged down by clever bowling.

I don't think the problem is biased umpires, it's just that Indian umpires have been rubbish for years.
Agree with this , Ravi is the only half decent one we have. [This forum doesn't have too many Pakistanis, otherwise I would have totally expected a comment about how that's all because we don't eat meat.]

I thought Shamshuddin umpired alright in the Aus-Pak series just finished. Surprised they rushed him back in for the 2nd T20I when he only finished up that previous series a couple of days ago.

Man can someone get highlights of ball 10.3? The free hit right after Mishra's no ball. It's comedy gold.

Morgan said it was "a concern" that DRS was not in use, adding: "There is as much on the line as there is in a Test or a one-day match, so no reason why it shouldn't be used."
**** off, Eoin.

Too much is being made of this, none of the decisions was game breaking and it's a bilateral t20 ffs.
Eh, anything that happens in the last over with <10 to win and two specialist bats in can be called potentially game breaking just on principle.
