I think most of the overseas players have been poor, particularly with the bat.Has the standard fallen this year? It has still be good entertainment but I don't feel like the quality has been as high as years previous.
Warming up for the first test in India where he'll take eight.ridiculous amount of fixing going on here
there's just no other way to explain lyon getting 4 wickets

Swepson has a habit, especially early on, of coming and bowling non-stop half-trackers for an over or so. I've seen him do it a few times and it's quite strange. One or 2 early on not that strange for a leggie, but he can literally bowl 5 or 6 in a row. Then on good days he can be absolutely perfect.Lyon was by >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the best bowler on show
By way of comparison, Swepson looked good when he actually bowled spin
Unfortunately, about 4 balls per over seemed to be medium-paced junk
The records of the English players all seem pretty solid with bat and ball to be honest, and McCullum is one of the top run getters.I think most of the overseas players have been poor, particularly with the bat.
Bell's stats are flattering for how well he actually playedThe records of the English players all seem pretty solid with bat and ball to be honest, and McCullum is one of the top run getters.
everyone was mentioning it, it was discussed pretty thoroughly actuallyLots of interesting theories going around for the Heats loss last night, but nobody's yet mentioned the elephant in the room, Alex Ross's 17 off 28 balls. Disgraceful in a T20 game out of a score of 167.
During his innings it was, but post game seems it was all about Swepson, McCullum's captaincy & Cutting, but looking back even if Ross score at merely a run a ball, they get 180.everyone was mentioning it, it was discussed pretty thoroughly actually
Well yeah, the West Indians in particular were poor this time around.I think most of the overseas players have been poor, particularly with the bat.
That's fine, though. Like was said a while back, it gives it much more of a domestic comp feel. It's franchise T20 after all, does absolute quality really matter that much?Considering the BBL get such great crowds, great facilities, nifty commentary & a great all-round TV package, it's a shame in a way they'll rarely get the best players going around with it being played when it is.
I can see your POV, but I'm looking at it from an overseas viewing perspective & not necessarily what's best for domestic player development. So yes, the higher the quality, the better from my standpoint. That's fine, though. Like was said a while back, it gives it much more of a domestic comp feel. Yup, Bell is fairly middle of the road, but without wishing to be insulting, there weren't many other middle order batsmen in the comp who were much better. Pietersen and a 58 year old Hodge the only ones that immediately spring to mind.Bell is a **** T20 player, so his returns are better than I expected. Purely a name signing, would have 4 Bears batsmen ahead of him alone.
Henriques, Burns, Lynn, Bailey, Morgan, White, Ferguson, Mitch Marsh, Agar even Pat Cummins to name a frewYup, Bell is fairly middle of the road, but without wishing to be insulting, there weren't many other middle order batsmen in the comp who were much better.
