Very much so. He was unarguably awful last season.ITT : People forgetting Joe Hart was some way below average for quite a while
I would guess that shite keeping is the more significant factor for Citeh. I remember them conceding a lot more terrible-keeper goals than unmissable-chance goals. I also feel like recently they're quite a lot less expansive than I was expecting from Pep. Some really stodgy performances over Christmas. They basically have three players in their prime; KDB, Gundogan and Otamendi. Gundo's injury prone and Otamendi I don't really rate, though I except he could be good in the right circumstances. Honestly it's pretty terrible squad planning given how long they've been chasing Pep. Did they really envisage 2/3 years ago that Pep would be building his squad with Arsenal's 2007 fullbacks and the likes of Fernando?
Bravo has been terrible but it is true he has a very hard job at the moment. His stats are ridiculously bad but the way City play means they concede very few shots on target, but those they do tend to be close range with minimal defensive pressure. Liverpool under Klopp have the same issue. It's the opposite to what you get with the likes of Wenger and Mourinho, who tend to sit off rather than press, inviting more shots from range.
I know quoting your own post is a bit unethical but Adrian Durham said similar things on talkSport today and I'm struggling to live with the shame of having the same thoughts as him.I might be getting bitter with age, but the brave Plymouth thing doesn't do it for me. Our performance at Anfield was cowardly against a team that would struggle in League 1 and tonight in the second half showed what could be achieved if you attempt to play the game in the opponents half some of the time. .............and Steve Gerrard is ****ing ugly in person.
Imagine how he feels.I know quoting your own post is a bit unethical but Adrian Durham said similar things on talkSport today and I'm struggling to live with the shame of having the same thoughts as him.
