Man City are so crap in defence.
Probably not helped by the fact that they are backed up by a goalkeeper who has developed a reputation for being extremely dodgy. Not that I'm a particular fan of Joe Hart or anything, but there's something especially unconvincing about Bravo.

Players just aren't good enough. Five defenders on the pitch and Otamendi is the best one.

I don't think Pep's struggles are to do with failure to adapt. I think he just ballsed up the summer transfer window, no full backs and a shite keeper.

He's not made a total howler for a while but concedes so, so many goals where he could arguably have done better. Lukaku's today is another one. Actually Cech is going through a similar spell.

Stones is looking a very expensive mistake. A defender who can't defend. As for the full backs

Gael Clichy must have dirt on all of his managers. Me saying he's crap has become a bit of a meme, but honestly how has he lasted as long as he has playing at this level? Similar to UC's observation about Bravo above, it's not even that he makes that many howlers (not anymore anyway, seems to have cut that down a bit), but he just adds nothing to the teams he plays in.

He's the archetype mythical "attacking fullback". Can't defend and runs around a lot, but actually his off the ball runs are fairly mediocre at best, and on the ball he is massively limited. Arsenal shifting him was a severely underrated piece of business.

Yeah, probably a prime piece of evidence I would use to support my "South American keepers" are crap theory tbh.

I can understand Pep wanting a sweeper type keeper who can actually play football, fits with his ethos and everything, but the very idea of porting a player with Bravo's profile into the Premiership just strikes me as being totally ill-advised. It seems that when looking for his technical maestro goalkeeping ability was only a secondary consideration at best.

How many times is Bravo going to concede every shot on target he faces in a match? Happened against Chelsea and Arsenal as well.

His keeping for Chelsea's second in that game is the worst I think I've ever seen.
