Chris Harris is the worst commentator/presenter ever. Even big ol Mitch is doing a better job even with saying umm every 3rd word.

Yeah well done to them. They've played it at a much better time of year, at better venues, with well timed games (not many night matches which can be freezing for spectators at this time of year).

Hopefully they televise even more matches next season! And more Ford Trophy then just the final on tv would be great.

Absolutely! Even the games that werent televised had reasonably good crowds as well, I trundled down to Hagley Oval on Monday to watch Kings vs Knights and was surprised at the turnout. I think the staff were too as it took us 15 minutes to get through the gate haha

credit to wellington. they don't exactly have an ideal team and lost blundell early but found an unlikely hero in matt taylor. arnel and bennett showing up instead of leaving it to elliott and jeets helped with the ball too.

losing tom bruce and ross obvz a pain in the arse and they could have won it for CD but the big issue that CD have been hiding well all season is the lack of bracewell and milne. take wheeler out for the internationals and that bowling attack just isn't what it should be.

pukekura park is an awesome ground to play at, watch at and look at in general so you can all suck it.

What a match! Firebirds looked gone halfway through their innings ... and even at halfway, despite the pitch playing strangely, I thought there was no way they'd be able to keep the big names in the CD batting line up quiet. Excellent bowling and fielding display.

So well done Firebirds, enjoy the glory of holding aloft the infamous Super Smash trophy that breaks every time someone lifts it up.

Excellent win by the Firebirds. Enjoyable game to watch, although the margin ended up making it sound closer than it felt for most of the chase.

Some positives for CD, though - Tickner was outstanding, and Clarkson continues to impress me.

That was way easier than I thought it would be. Never did CD in the chase look like they'll get there. Brent Arnel, what a performance? Difference between winning and losing. Taylor was the surprise package, played a very good hand.
