What do people think re: Hameed and Renshaw? Obviously too early, but I think they have the potential to get to 30 tons at least. Both look like real players, open the batting (so have the most chances to score tons) are still very young and assuming they don't regress should play lots of Tests. On the other hand, Phil Hughes was in a similar boat at the same age, so anything can happen.
As for the bigger names, only really the Big 4 and Warner (who's on 18 now btw) have a real shot. Smith should get there easily, he's already more than halfway there, Australia play plenty of Tests and has shown that his batting doesn't significantly regress with captaincy, although I do worry his game is one that won't hold up well with age. Kohli, he's also got a good shot but you never know. Root, the worry with him is that his conversion rate has not shown any signs of improving and he also apparently has back issues. We don't know what sort of effect captaincy will have on his batting. (On the plus side, England tend to play the most Tests out of any nation) Williamson, I think he's lost form at the wrong time and won't play as much as the other three. On the other hand, that might mean that he goes deeper into his thirties than others, and I think his game will hold up better than Smith or Kohli as he ages anyway.
As for Warner, he could get there but like Smith I worry his game won't hold up well with age and he's older so probably needs to get to like 25 by 15 months time which is a stretch. Pujara, probably too far behind unless he goes on a crazy run or improves his away form.
One other guy I'll throw up is Kraigg Brathwaite. Only on 5 but only just turned 24, doesn't play T20 and probably shouldn't be playing ODI's (so won't suffer as much burnout or become a T20 specialist), and opens the batting so he could have a good shot especially if he starts to really kick on from his exploits in Dubai. Wouldn't bet on it though, especially given how much of a ****up is the WICB.
