ICC should really try moving towards allowing away teams to have the choice of batting or bowling first. Scary to think what our Bowling attack would have done yesterday had we bowled first. Same goes for teams touring Lanka and India.

This is a pretty smart idea. Home team prepares the pitch but visiting team gets the choice to bat or bowl first. Not sure what is best for the second test. Would you just alternate or stick to the visiting team having the choice?

No should be like that every test in a series.

Last time Australia toured sri lanka they lost every toss.

South Africa won the last tour to Sri Lanka partly because we won the first toss and got to bat first.

I think all touring teams should just git gud tbh.

Handing the toss to the away team would feel like an undeserved leg-up imo. Just bring back proper tour games and we'll see teams competing better. That's much better than giving them an unearned advantage.

I genuinely think that this pitch and the PE one have been pretty decent. I wouldn't say they have been total green mamba's.

Always enjoy seeing competitive cricket and batsman have to work hard for their runs (hundreds) & it's not totally turgid ito Run-rate which it can be in PE and a bowler will get rewarded if he keeps his patience and good skill. Also whilst the spinners aren't as threatening, it is not like they are not getting wickets.

I don't like it when games are decided on a toss. That sucks. We need to change something so the games are more competitive. Re: full tours, this is not going to happen given the aggressive cricketing calendar we have these days.

It will just help make tours be more competitive.

But how good are they really if they only dominate on dusty wickets half their careers? Even Paul Harris was player of the series and leading wicket taker last time we toured Pakistan.

I suppose it is up to them to better themselves like Sangakkara etc did I look at Sri Lanka's young batsman like Mendis, de Silva and they look like they can adapt their games but both have played under 10 test matches.

It's all about consistency. I look at Lakmal and I've never even looked at him in a positive way before this series. I'm not sure where he has found more consistency but maybe he has stepped his game up ?

Lakmal looks very positive, he is enjoying bowling there.
