The Tiger King
yasir unlucky to have not gotten a wicket, has been instrumental in keeping things tight from one end.

Hazelwood tends to have some sense, but I wouldn't expect much from lyon.

Incidentally what has happened with Lyon's batting lately? He used to be a solid reliable blocker but he's turned into a back-away-swing-at-everything hack that's lucky to last 10 minutes at the crease
Haze's batting is mostly terrible tbh,

Haze is another guy who looks absolutely woeful technique-wise but somehow manages to scratch around for a few

Is the pitch doing more than it was yesterday? Australia didn't lose any wickets to the new ball under the lights yesterday BTW.
Yea the pitch was flat and the bowling poor and they dropped loads of catches and so Smith could score a lot of runs

Once Smith got out they learnt how to catch, bowled well and the ball started to swing and now it's tough for Australia

Duh

also he manages to average 16 in Test cricket somehow

It'll be good when patto comes back, or Faulkner gets picked as third quick, and Maxwell takes Lyon's spot as the 1-100 bowling spinner

Yep, his batting used to be his stronger suit but now I reckon they're both at the same level.

He got 60- odd in the Shield a couple of weeks ago. Lots of fours and a six iirc. #intent.

Are going to have to have another entry in the batting collapses thread? This has been pretty damn stupid. We should have been aiming to last until tea then take the new ball under lights.

Sadly #intent will always take precedence over sense with Boof in charge.
I can see why Smith went for intent in that position. Rest of them are just ****.
