Hales won't play again in tests. Well he shouldn't.And to think Jennings has to compete with Hameed and Hales to partner Cook while SA look on longingly
Um, yeah, okay. But Robson, Compton, and others made tons before falling away.Good knock from Jennings. Not always convincing but surely got the mental makeup of a good batsman. Not letting the tough stuff get to him and staying in his bubble and always looking at the best way to not just survive but score runs. Should be a good long term #3 for England. Given he bowls a bit too, surely England have found a good long term player.
TrottHow many Saffers have scored a century on debut before Jennings?
It's amazing, & If you limit it to white cricketers, there's only 4.5 million whites in South Africa, which is about the population of NZ, which makes it astonishing that they can keep producing all these top class cricketers at the drop of a hat.SA produce so much talent.
It's about ethics in patriarchy, bro.Can we ease up on the Saffa thing? Yeah he's from there but his mum's from Sunderland. Clearly has links to both nations.
KP's was from Liverpool, Trott's old man was English, could probably go on, it will make no difference to what people say.Can we ease up on the Saffa thing? Yeah he's from there but his mum's from Sunderland. Clearly has links to both nations.
Drop Cook and make Root captain. Obviously.Cricinfo said:Tom: "Makes it interesting for the selectors if Jennings has a good 2 tests and then Hameed comes back into the equation next year! Cook, Hameed and Jennings. 3 into 2 opening spots! Who do you go with?"
In India on debut, Alviro Petersen. How many Saffers have scored a century on debut before Jennings?
I think it's actually a feather in the cap of English cricket that they seem to get the best out of some of these players who decided to give up on SA. I wouldn't necessarily view such comments as a negative thing at all.KP's was from Liverpool, Trott's old man was English, could probably go on, it will make no difference to what people say.
