Don't trust this speed gun. Viljoen bowling 155+kph every other ball. Earlier du Preez was 145+kph but de Lange didn't get above 140kph yet had the batsman hooping and backing away. Quality spell though from Hardus. Looks trim as well.

First look at Mulder. Fairly short but heavily built and according to the speed gun he is 35kph slower than Viljoen.

Magala is clocking 145kph. Is he really that quick or is this another case of faulty speed guns?

Reckon they have been wobbly. Last I saw Magala could get through at around 140 so not too far off though.

The Dolphins middle order has too many similar players at the moment. Nipper, Zondo and Chetty aren't free flowing at the start of their innings.

Might as well mix it up and move Phehlukwayo or Frylinck up the order.

Delport is the biggest joke of a player. I can't believe he gets gigs world wide in T20 cricket and Leicestershire have signed him up again.
Zondo & VVJ their best batsman but they no clutch players.
Frylinck is doing well this season but won't be long before his performances drop and his lack of energy in the field found out.
Alexander is so passed it as well.

I see Daryn Smit is part of the comms team and his latest is shoulder surgery tomorrow and out for 2 months. He is probably one of the only seniors I respect in the Dolphins set-up.

You forget what he done when he was playing in the champions league like 2 years ago when dolphins where playing against chennai, delport smashed 70 off 35 balls that was a amazing innings.

I get what you are saying about Delport. But he plays because he can change the game if he comes off and with the lack of match winners available it's worth the gamble. I know Phehlukwayo and Maharaj are success stories from Durban, but the Dolphins team feels stagnant. Losing Miller and Abbot was huge.

I dunno Seam Up.Counties don't want 2 develop players these days,they want solid pros.
S Africa has always been a place England raid and Australia.
Their are a lot less irish and Scottish players playing county cricket atm,so maybe they filling this quota with S Africans.
The fact of Brexit,has its effect,it hasn't come in2 place until their is a vote in parliament,once this is done the Eu and Kolpak treaties become invalid,so they are rushing in and getting what they can before its too late.
It does say a lot that Harmer and Van Zyl less than 12 months ago were playing for S Africa.Says they don't believe in the system anymore.

Counties are developing lots of young players. Very bizarre criticism.

91jMay their are foreign players littered in Counties its a long debate this one.
It does bring in juniors,but cuts them loose after 3/4 years if they have not developed quick enough.
Its too easy to just get a Saffie Pro or an Aussie pro,on various passports.

I don't recall paarl ever producing a good pitch. One of my least liked grounds in the country.
