I put it down to the size of bats today, being less nimble and less able to make last minute changes and clamp down - players just don't know how to be nimble against spin anymore.They spent the whole SL tour playing for imaginary spin against Herath so dont see why they'd change in India
That and the fact that players in Australia are being built on pitches that do nothing except bounce, with conditions that for some reason aren't conducive to swing.
It's lead to a generation of decent bowlers (when they're not injured) but a generation of stunted batsmen who can't do anything away from home.
