Is Shrewsbury the place in the north that's considered the birthplace of the industrial revolution? Has some significant iron bridge or something doesn't it?

Just looked it up, I think I went there in 2003 on the way to Anglesey. I seem to remember it being quite a pretty place, but then again I had just come through Birmingham, the Chennai of England so anything would have looked good.

I suspect the first bit is all he cares about right now.
Correct

We have a lot of affection for Mellon at PP, though, so that will help.

Plus that's quite a coup really. I mean the axe was obviously falling at shrewsbury but even so...we are non league.

Six points off top. This is an appointment in time to give us a chance at getting that automatic spot. I'm not taking it for granted but I expect the title wrapped up by Easter

I am delighted he has gone, if he had stayed much longer I am certain we would have been relegated now I think if we make the right appointment we have a decent chance of staying up. Be interesting to see what our goalkeeping coach does this weekend with them and what system they play. We had a different set of tactics week to week and the players looked lost half the time as we could play numerous formations in the same game. You might be able to get away with that in the top flight with good players but not lower league ones.

Mowbray? Not as bad as the start to this season made out.

He left you better than he found you tbf

I wanted him when you got him but the ****with chief executive we had at the time told him that the signings had already all been decided

If only he'd been the Micky we had in charge that season I'd never have even heard of Solihull Moors

La Liga's recent trend of deliberately clashing big La Liga games with PL matches has now extended to El Classico.

I think they played each other twice last season. In other words, the same amount of times everyone plays everyone.

I was going to say, it's not like the Ashes where they can just decide to play extra. Just happens that they might come across each other in the CL, which was obviously not possible a generation ago

When Real Madrid won the Champions Cup 5 times in the 50s they beat Barcelona in a semi final.

Pretty sure I'm right in saying that Barcelona were also the first team to beat Real Madrid in the European Cup, in the first year where it was not won by Real. Think Barca went on to lose the final to Benfica.
