I'm trying to remember, did Murali used to bowl whole session spells on occasions in his pomp?

Santner has more natural talent with the bat than Vettori ever did Simon.
nah vettori had a great eye, and expanded his range of shots from "cut", "late cut" and "vettori cut" to score all round the wicket.

the #6 we never bothered to use

I'm not discounting Vettori's unorthodox technique, because it worked, but in the second half of his career. Santner displaying more promise with the bat early for me.

Nooooo. Hope for stubbornness, hope for a gutsy draw. But don't hope for rain.
Usually, but here I'd take a little more stubbornness and a lot of rain to knock off a wee session there. The universe can make up for Kaneh losing the toss, or something.

This would be gripping right now if there were 20 overs to go.

Yeah, Warne did it occasionally too. I think Swann might have as well. It's like an amusing post from an Indian member - don't think it was massively uncommon for it to happen at times, but not like you saw it every day.

Is there a shaving ban in place in the Indian dressing room? Everyone, even the ones who can't grow a good beard have been forced to grow one, it looks like. Yadav's pathetic goatee does take the focus away from his nostrils though.
