That's not quite true, losing to Australia at home is genuinely one to moan about, then aside from that in the last 12 months or so, we drew with England away and predictably lost to away to SA & Aust and now likely India. South Africa's bowling was pretty damn good, so not sure if you seriously believed we would beat those two sides. Not sure that means we're a minnow.

Meanwhile... I had to mute the TV from all this constant squealing every ball. I almost want Jayawardene to come out of retirement for some relief.

These two need to make it to stumps if NZ are to have any chance of saving this game.

Oh get off that high horse. The umpires are not going to give a guy out if you don't appeal are they? Its not your job as a bowler to be sure if something is out. Its the umpire's job. So he should just take a ****ing call on all appeals because guess what? Thats what he's ****ing paid to do. If an umpire cannot cope with that, he should step down.

There's been a considerable drop off in the teams performance since that tour. You can't put it all down to form either, we've been playing **** for way too long for it just to be form.

the slump coincides perfectly with southee and boult bowling trash. it sucks but go look at some old team sheets before preparing for a new dark age.

In 2008 James Marshall batted at #3 for NZ and Chris Martin (solid campaigner he was) took the new ball. Now they've got Kane and Boult.

This reminds me of when all those new kiwis started posting in the midst of the Australia home series to talk exclusively about how awful the Black Caps are and how NZ cricket is dead.

I dunno. Half-celebrations and all seem to cross the line. I wouldn't like it if it was India on the receiving end, with Broad or someone pulling **** like this.

IMO Southee peaked and I don't know whether Boult will ever be the same again after suffering that back injury.

I like cricket, but I'm not exactly a die hard fan of it anymore.

I use to be, but the sport has become a bit of a joke of late.
