I think a lot coincides with Bond not being bowling coach anymore. Both Southee and Boult dropped 5km/h after he left and didnt swing as much. Boult is getting back to his best but he still hasnt been the same after that injury.

Try and fathom how incredible it is that you whine more than Indian posters do when something like this happens.
It's pretty much always been the case on CW. I got bored posting on here because it was literally all that people could talk about when the issue was at its peak around 2011 or so.

Ross probably deserved that appalling decision after the ground grubber he got from Steyn in their last test.

Whatever it takes!!!
Agree with vcs here. Appealing is find, dats how you put batsmen under pressure but celebrating before the decision etc was too much. TBF, it looked more like they were so close to each other so just decided to do the Hi fi anyway... Did not look like a cebratory hi ten as such.

I don't think that's as dead as everyone is making out. Probably would've clipped leg but no more than that.

I don't understand why our spinners weren't able to get the ball to do this much early on in the Indian second innings.

Is there that big of a gap in the ability of our spinners and theirs?

I don't get it.. Taylor looked pretty dead to me in the first innings, even after seeing a couple of replays. But common consensus seems to be that he was sawn off.

It hit him on leg with a big stride. In real time it looked out, but with the graphics, it looked a horrible decision.

Yeah same here, I thought it was clipping and would've probably been umpires call if DRS was in play.

Interesting watching how the two batsmen are trying to survive out there. Obviously Williamson looks the far more accomplished bat in these conditions, decisive in his footwork front and back and trusting his solid defence. Looks really good in these very testing conditions. Taylor on the other hand looks all at sea, he's struggling to pick the length, he's tried sweeping, charging down the pitch, looking to be positive, which I think he has to as his defence is not as assured as someone like Williamson. There seems no obvious plan from Taylor at this stage, he's just hoping he gets a couple away and everything clicks.
