Likelihood of top-scorer should be something like
Williamson
Taylor
Watling
Latham
Ronchi=Santner=Craig=Guptill

Latham below on Watling mainly on account of being a LH vs Ashwin.

Athlai

Not Terrible
CPL player ratings doesn't really skew to "top scorers" as much as it does to "overall average quality" though right? Someone like Latham who has probably never top scored in his life after grinding out a solid 63 on 3 out of 5 occasions would actually be rated decently by CPL.

Na a definite disservice to Ronchi and Guptill there. It's unlikely they get a score here but if either manage to last an hour or two then they're both very capable of making big runs. Certainly a lot more likely than Santner or Craig.

I think he was just asking me to do it off the top of my head.

Sodhi enjoyed his New Zealand A tours of the SC with the bat, as well. Sadly I can't get the odds comparision sites to find me a great price atm.

Who would partner Watling and score slower than him is always the issue, isn't it.
Yes, could easily be stuck with a not-out with the tail blown away. Still find it hard to go past him as third most likely to top score.

I see what you're saying with Ronchi and Guptill where if they score anything in a collapsing batting card*, it may well turn out to be top score. It's the first bit 'if they score' that is the problem - ok Ronchi a bit of an unknown but I find it very hard to see Guptill scoring. Craig or Santner bashing 43 could just as easily be top in that scenario imo.

* which is what we have if Taylor or Williamson don't top score.

I'm looking to Tom Latham to ton up today. He is great in these conditions.
In places where seam is very much nerfed, he did do it twice in the 1st innings of two of the most recent three outings.

Yeah, I'm hoping he does his best Alistair Cook impression today (and tomorrow).
