Pretty comfortable 5 singles off Moeen in that over a big hint as to why Pakistan are going to get a good score here

( the other hint is the drops)

Pakistan really do play old style ODI cricket still don't they. They could win playing like it today, but over the course of 12 months you are going to lose far more than you win with this style I think
Bear in mind not to long ago, they had Shezhad who loved a dot ball opening with Azhar which was even worse.

Have done well to restrict this partnership. Before the break they were scoring off every ball and it was completely out of control.

Hope we have left ourselves enough death bowling. With Stokes unable to bowl I'd have seriously considered playing Jordan over him.

Sarfraz's wicket will help - if Wood, Woakes and Plunkett can't keep things tight against what's left of the Pakistan batting, then something's wrong.

We really could have used more seam, Sarfraz and Azhar's partnership against the spinners has given Pakistan a total to defend, the rest of it was not much cop. Think they're 20 below par.

Yeah reckon it might be nearer 35-40 light. They could win this but their style has to change long term in my opinion.

Also for England, Buttler and Morgan have been injured and haven't batted in match situations for around a month. Root looked lackadaisical, maybe even tired in his recent outings for Yorkshire.

Root looked absolute dogshit in his innings for Yorkshire the other day. He isn't absolute dogshit, I have noticed, so I think it was anomalous.

Amir giving the right hander so much room early on suggests he's not getting his stock delivery to swing back in. Could be a bad day out for him, he said optimistically

Yeah I've never understood people calling him a hack though. It's fair to wonder whether he will score runs long term but he clearly is classy player
