Can just imagine Boy Brumby & Nick Hornby sitting in a pub discussing what else they can do with their time, whilst listening to 80s & 90s indie.
I've long suspected they're the same person- as well as having identical sets of interests and senses of humour, they also both support Cambridge United as a second team. Too much to be a coincidence.

Bastian Schweinsteiger: Man Utd will be German's 'last club in Europe' - BBC Sport

Schweinsteiger isn't going anywhere. Hope Fellaini's performances regress back to the mean, Mourinho continues playing him and ignoring Schweinsteiger purely out of spite, and gets sacked. A man can dream, can't he?
If Fellaini loses his spot beside Pogba we still have Herrera, Carrick, and Schneiderlin before Schweinsteiger gets a game. I'm fine with an example being made of him. It was a stupid signing.

I love how there's been absolute indignation at his 'treatment' from senior figures at Bayern, yet an offer to buy him back has been absent.

The footballer as innocent victim line has made a real comeback this summer, Schweinsteiger, Hart and Tony Hibbert all giving it the full sob story.

Nothing to match Rooney's "confused and angry" line just yet, but there's still time.

Schweinsteiger's story made all the more funny by the very parallel career arc of his wife (who would, if Qatar had dodgy leagues for retired players, be on the first plane there)

Every Arsenal fan having a massive cry about how bored they are makes me feel weird given I paid over £1,000 for a friend's season ticket this year.

Ftr, the boredom I expressed was with sport/football generally. It was nothing specifically to do with Arsenal.

Arsenal have just stagnated. Some of the whinging is ridiculous but at the same time if you're forking out a grand plus for a season ticket it's pretty galling to have thw club being run the way it is by Wenger. I'll stick up for him more than most, people seem to forget Özil and Alexis happened when he's accused of not spending money and his stance to not just piss away money on shite is admirable, but he's a bit out of touch with how the modern game's going. I'm not saying go out and piss away £30m on Christian Benteke or £50m+ on Lukaku, but it would be nice to no be seeing dross like Walcott line up for Arsenal.

Yes I can just imagine all those poor CDMs supporters having a moan, letting their mouth go then quietly backtracking to their privileged yet humdrum existence.

My overriding memory of London is a bunch of ****ney numpties talking absolute shite at each other when I was supposed to do a Scrabble game over the radio (yes seriously, you can imagine Londoners visualising a 15x15 board game) and the cafe wouldn't let us do it there. So endless threats later (all along the lines of "call the police then, no you call the police..." etc.) we ended up in a van.

Is there anything in life you aren't totally sour about?

His legs are shot. How did he ever pass a medical? Wait. Did he pass a medical. LVG and "when players like that are available you have to sign them" make me wonder.

Yes, it's only me that's noted your unrelenting misery.
No it's only you that thinks there's a point in tedious little whines about me not liking stuff or whatever in reply to my rants. Nobody cares either way. It's like having a little cry every time Boycott calls something rubbish. Yea we know he does it a lot. That's Boycott. We get it. It's having a little Captain Obvious buzzing around trying to score points off easy targets. I'm sure you can do it in a less dull way.

I'd recommend going to live matches, seeing the passion again. Things can feel a bit theatrical through a TV screen.

Maybe not Arsenal though as you might have to invade several African countries before you could afford a ticket

Isn't that just Arsenal's youth scouting policy?
