Didn't watch any of the bowling in this game.
Think he's getting a bit of a rough time on here though, he's a product of where he's grown up - no-one in the world I'd rather bowling spin for me in Australia, and has spent too much time bowling at right handers throughout his time in the subcontinent; more a reflection on how Holland/other spinners have performed against SL, Pak & India.
In terms of ODI cricket though, those who were pushing for him to be picked in the WC Squad ahead of Doherty haven't been too loud about it now.

The best (worst?) example of this in recent times was when Mangongo was Zimbabwe coach. He seemed to have it in his head that the reason Zimbabwe weren't a top six ODI team had nothing to do with the many structural reasons crippling them but was instead all due to administrative acceptance of mediocrity. He went on to drop everyone who didn't meet his standards, which were the sort of performance goals you'd expect from a top six team.
They were down to the third eleven pretty quickly. Unsurprisingly, results got worse rather than better.

It annoys me that a team can pick only one spinner in a world cup squad, put no time into any spinners and rely on pace to win a World Cup.
