Things said in the past should not count against people forever, though. I'd agree about him making some sort of gesture mind you - because some of the comments were, like Pothas said, despicable.

But it doesn't matter because he'll be branded a homophobe and misogynist for the rest of his career by some, whether he's genuinely changed or not.
The context of football makes it hard to be sympathetic to a reformed homophobe getting abuse. Players get it all the time for moving clubs or playing badly for England.

Yeah, that's a fair point, but it wasn't really what I was getting at. Terrace abuse is never logical and Twitter football opinions are worth even less. I'm not really 'sympathetic' either, but Axl Rose is still called a racist and homophobe and more than half his life has passed since One in a Million. These things stick, as though people can't change and evolve.

Yeah, despite my forgiving view, terrace abuse is pretty much guaranteed, and not an huge problem really. I tend not to do it at my club as it always seems to rebound by the player playing out of his skin.

Two observations

1. How ****ing good is Ben Gibson? Amidst a sea of god awful loans over the past decade you could see the boy had class far beyond the level we were at back then
2. Does David Moyes have a 'must have played for me before' transfer policy?

Unfortunate goal there, Middlesbrough coasting, which was good against Moyes the ****. Also wanted a clean sheet for my "Gorgeous George for England" campaign which I've decided to bore you with this season

Is it possible to get black football boots these days?
Oddly I saw on Twitter one of the big shoe companies were bringing out a big new range they're calling "dark", ****ing hope so, nothing worse then a lower-league clogger, booting the ball into row Z with ****ing neon boots on.

Mind you I don't mind coloured shoes if they're the same colour as the kit.

Edit there ya go "Dark Space", 230 quid to you squire.

Those frilly bits Craig Johnston invented haven't caught on then - were they the footballing equivalent of the aluminium bat?

The Predator boot was hugely successful for years, Johnston's design, he somehow managed to go bankrupt though.

If Allardyce getting to be manager means Noble gets his England cap it'll all be worth it. Having said that West Ham look a bit **** without Payet.

It really annoys me actually. We have mouthpieces for the club like David Ornstein saying we're haggling over Mustafi to save funds for a big striker yet we have so many players we could do with selling. Campbell is honestly a £10-15m player in this PL market yet we loan him to Portugal while the likes of Everton are spending £30m on Bolasie.

Wenger used to be really good at selling people for more than their value and then reinvesting the money to keep us going, but the last profitable sales were probably RVP and Song in 2012.

I also remember when Spurs were the ones that always dropped soft points before the transfer window closed by haggling for the last few pennies. Cost them 4th more than once too.
