Must say, the decision whether to watch Australia or England play spin badly is a tough one. Good cricketing afternoon ahead.

Smart play by SMarsh there. Covering the straight ones because he's not going to get the ones that rip anyway. Taking lbw out of the equation.

Jesus Christ, why would you, as a keeper, not flick the bails off there? Reckon he had Smith....

He has played and scored runs in SL before tbf.
Yes on debut in Pallekale and put up a big partnership with Hussey to set the game up which was eventually washed out. I know those things

Cracking shot since it came out

wish Karunaratne had dropped that so we could do a Karunaratne (2016 vs Aus) vs Marsh (2011/12 vs Ind) thread

Harris in 2013 the obvious one.

Johnson against South Africa in 2008 a shout? Remember him getting 8 at Perth, dunno how he bowled in the rest of the series.
Took 17 wickets @ 25.88 fwiw. Only six of them came after Perth though and he didn't take more than 2 wickets in an innings either.

Johnson in the UAE in 2013 (I think) a huge shout IMO. Only bloke who looked even vaguely threatening on a consistent basis.

Was 2014. Thought about that one, but he only took 6 wickets from memory. Not his fault the Pakistani batsmen were skilled at seeing him out and attacking the other **** but it is what it is.

If you're only giving Mitchell Marsh 10 overs out of 140, it does beg the question as to what the **** he is doing in the Australian side at the moment.

For me Marsh is where Smith was 5 years ago. Looks a talent (not as good as Smith who at least scored a couple of decent 50s) but needs to get back to Shield cricket and stick some performances together.

When Shaun Marsh plays like this, it's tempting to forget all the **** that has gone on beforehand

On the other hand, when you see Warner player the shot that he did, you do the same with all his good innings - fmd, it was awful
