*Official* Pakistan in England and Ireland 2016

Interesting to see that Yasir has probably won two Tests this series with the ball and yet his series bowling average is over 40. I cannot imagine that has happened very often in a series of four matches or less..
Yasir Shah has nothing to do with why Pakistan will win this game.

It goes to show how much spinners are somewhat inherently downhill skiers.

The way Younis treated Moeen from 150-200 was incredible, and some of those drives off the seamers today. Woof.

All those 20,000 runs count for nothing if he's gone to **** by the time you pick the bloke.

If your going to say you'd take Younis over Cook fine but don't try and imply he'd get into a team ahead of Cook as they are playing now because its patently false especially in regards to this current series.
Well ****...

I was actually so close to ripping into some of you guys at the time for knee-jerking over Younis, but given I'd actually missed a couple of his terrible-looking innings and it seemed to be the whole forum vs weldone, I wasn't ready to put my balls on the line for that one.

Missed opportunity for an epic I-told-you-so. :(

Most comments sounded like they hadn't really seen Younis much.. that's what happens when you only watch Tests that your team plays in.

Yup, good lesson to never be afraid of unpopular opinion on here. Too many seem overly worried about 'towing the popular line'. Independent thinking ftw!

I thought most people here were talking about how fidgety he looked all series long, with very few calls for a drop. Pretty fair comments if you ask me (aside from the drop calls), as he looked like ****.

Pretty much. Thought PEWS wouldn't be one to tow the popular line. After a YK milestone or after he retires, when people get together and say "omg why doesn't this guy gets more attention, or why is he so underrated or why don't we know he has these achievements' PEWS you should remember this one time you didn't speak up. when it was needed for fear of not getting 'likes'

I didn't see any posts calling for him to be dropped; I definitely would have argued with those if I'd seen them.

I thought about getting involved in the debate about whether he could be considered better than Cook despite looking like **** in his last few innings but I'd actually only seen one of them at the time (I think it was after the second Test, yeah?) so I thought perhaps I'd missed something really telling. I definitely regret not saying anything now obviously, but I don't think I 'towed the popular line' so much as I just didn't say anything at all. :p
