the most annoying bit for me in this series has been our slip catching in 2010 we struggled but that was because we had a very poor slip cordon. With Younis, Misbah, Azhar all safe fielders I thought we will not drop many but we have been even worse then 2010. Youinis and Azhar have been below par and for some reason Misbah is not standing in slips but the drop catch count should be close to 10 now.

Misbah apparently wasn't feeling confident at slips early on and they decided he wouldn't be there..plus his need to be close to his bowlers.

That won't go down well whatsoever with the new Pakistan regime, the likes of Umar and Shezhad been told to cop on or ship out, Junaid simply does not have the talent for selectors to ignore this waah.

He has denied it and said he is keen on Pakistan. What I think is happening here is the same strategy employed by countless others like Afridi, YK, U Akmal who when they feel hard done by the selectors, use the media to apply pressure on them.

Fielding is beyond a joke now. Can't afford it on this pitch with a sub-par score. The first change bowling has been great all things considered.

Given that we're not interested in catching anything, Pakistan must fancy their chances of a decent first innings lead on this surface. Makes the pre-match talk about this side being more talented than the 2011 version look rather premature.

They clearly aren't as good as the 2011 side, more depth to the pace bowling though so may help us stay towards the top for longer despite not having a good spinner in the side. Bat longer too but not got the same ability in the top 6 despite having Root now.
