Norwood's on Fire
Yes that picture definitely looks like it's at slip. IdiotI think that picture is of Strauss cheating while claiming his infamous non-catch from The Prince in 2009. WAC.

Playing straight basically. With the notable exception of Ballance who has been tucking it round the corner for a catch regularly. What are the english batsmen been doing to negate Yasir Shah ?
Yes I think lack of a holding bowler has been our undoing Imran Khan should been backed to do that role. There was too much reliance on Amir and Yasir. Amir is still feeling his way back and is probably bowling at 80% of his potential also the catching has really let himdown. But the big turning point has been the change in fortunes of yasir England has read him well after the first test produced pitches that totally negate him and now his confidence level is at the lowest.^ Correct. And other than the second test, it has mainly been the bowling that has placed them in these situations. The ease with which England have found boundaries all throughout the series is ridiculous. Alistair Cook has never had a higher strike rate in a series in his entire career.
Not to mention the slip catching at crucial moments.
Wasn't Rahat meant to be the holding bowler? That was the reason given for his place in the team.Yes I think lack of a holding bowler has been our undoing Imran Khan should been backed to do that role. That's what I thought too at the beginning of this series. Look at me now..burned and defeated. Don't make the same mistake.English fortunes in India depend on Cook and Root. Have a feeling Bairstow will be less of a trouble, having played just the solitary test in Mumbai.
to be honest with Amir playing I did not see the sense of Rahat both are very similar with Amir having a higher ceiling, Rahat is also not accurate enough to do the holding role Imran is much more comfortable in doing that role.Wasn't Rahat meant to be the holding bowler? But he has done this in UAE though quite successfully especially in 2014 against Australia and NZ. And he is also supposed to be the guy who gets the new ball to move off the seam. He had one job to do in this series, and he did it in the first over of the Lords test and never did it a second time.to be honest with Amir playing I did not see the sense of Rahat both are very similar with Amir having a higher ceiling, Rahat is also not accurate enough to do the holding role Imran is much more comfortable in doing that role.
I can understand why they went for his he is more proven then Imran and capable of producing random jaffas however personally I feel Imran would have been a better fit here. But he has done this in UAE though quite successfully especially in 2014 against Australia and NZ. His spell to Root in the third test comes second but Hafeez did a Hafeez and ruined that.
Agreed. I would have picked him over Sohail in this test for sure but Sohail's batting in the third test ruled that out.I can understand why they went for his he is more proven then Imran and capable of producing random jaffas however personally I feel Imran would have been a better fit here.
That's what he gets for knocking Jimmy off the top of the rankings!! The cricket world has a way of righting itself. In the first test Yasir took 10-140
Since the second Test Yasir has 4 wickets at an average of 140
That's sounds good.....can`t image how many wickets Steyn`s going to take in the next few weeks/months then......That's what he gets for knocking Jimmy off the top of the rankings!! The cricket world has a way of righting itself.
That number belongs to him till the day he retires. That's sounds good.....can`t image how many wickets Steyn`s going to take in the next few weeks/months then......
Amir return has no effect on Juniad's fortune If Rahat can co exist then so can Junaid. Junaid has himself to blame post injury he's look a shell of his former self bowling in mid 70's and not moving the ball an inch his stats have been very poor and was rightfully dropped.Agreed. I would have picked him over Sohail in this test for sure but Sohail's batting in the third test ruled that out.
And this is bit out there as he is not even in the squad. Would you have picked Junaid Khan in the squad? Can't help but feel for him. Carried the bowling after the prodigal son bowled his no ball and now that he is back, PCB won't even look at him. Personally I would have liked JK to get a shot at a comeback before Amir but that was never going to happen.
