No idea where that picture even came from considering Sky didn't have a camera that could see the ball at the time. Can't even tell if it's from today.

Thinking more about Moeen's record at 7. His first ton at 7 came when he was due in at 6 but Plunkett came in as nightwatchman (doubt it really changed things for Moeen) and he's mostly batted 7 this summer when he's been in really good form.

Was kinda hoping there'd be some people out there who took their own video/photos of that catch. If that's the best one it isn't very clear even though it indicates what I think most people thought - that he hadn't caught it.

Yeah, it's stat-****ery to the nth degree, he averages about 39 batting down the order, just a statistical anomaly that 7 has been so much more successful.

I think that picture is of Strauss cheating while claiming his infamous non-catch from The Prince in 2009. WAC.

Hales Cook Root Samit/Ansari Bairstow Stokes Moeen Woakes Rashid Broad Anderson for India

So many good allrounders and the team looks strong with 4 pacers and 3 spinners. India will have a tough time getting 20 wickets.

Yeah, can't really see India beating this lot right now, home or away. Too much depth, and too many players who love playing against India. Will be interesting to see if the pitches are similar to what we got against SA last year though.

Square turner is a different ball game though. Neither Bairstow nor Ali are able to pick spinners that well or at least haven't demonstrated the ability to do so in Asia so far.

But yeah it will be a tough series. I have said before that I don't see India losing a single series all season, but England will certainly be the toughest opposition they face.

I think I'd prefer one more specialist batter before Bairstow, and 3 spinners is probably overkill since we're struggling to find one that's consistently test quality.
That probably means Ballance at 4.
