10 overs I guess. Full slog.England will lead by 300 at stumps for sure. Do they bat out a session tomorrow and play it safe?
Yeah he has been great, first time in a long while he has really looked like someone who could bat in the top 6.and Moeen has become England's top scorer in both innings in this match. Actually probably been the most solid match he's played since his first ton against Sri Lanka, no dropped chances, his second 100 against Sri Lanka was great but flaky.
If we could get Moeen into the top 6 it solves a dilemma for India as it allows you to play 2 spinners and 3 seamers (4 if you also have Stokes there).Yeah he has been great, first time in a long while he has really looked like someone who could bat in the top 6.
Yeah, it is the only time I would go 6 bowlers. If we could get Moeen into the top 6 it solves a dilemma for India as it allows you to play 2 spinners and 3 seamers (4 if you also have Stokes there).
Spot on comparison, think I mentioned it earlier. There were some giving Cook grief for not declaring overnight in that test, which was absurd, but I think like you say 80 overs should be enough - Furball's second new ball point is a decent one mind you...Pretty much an identical situation to the Lords test v NZ last year where England were effectively 300/6 at the end of day 4. They batted until all out but seemed pretty happy to throw the bat. Guess we can expect similar.
311 in a day would mean Cook has to spend all of day 5 worrying about run rates but 360 in 80 overs means you have plenty of runs to play with and set more attacking fields, as well as taking the Pakistan win pretty much out of it
I'll be going ftr. £16 for adults
Had a little dig and the best I can find is Flower's 1045 runs from 9 tests in 2000. Gilchrist's best is 870 in 2001.Bairstow has over 800 runs already this year, there cant be many keepers who have scored over 1,000 runs in a calendar year and scored more runs then anyone else, AB maybe? Gilly?
Yes.Are all 5 Tests against India this calendar year?
But Hales refunded £4.10 for missing 10% of the overs which means the ticket should be £41?I'll be going ftr. £16 for adults
Day 5 is always different. But Hales refunded £4.10 for missing 10% of the overs which means the ticket should be £41?
