*Official* Australia in Sri Lanka 2016

Another gone. Sri Lanka taking it too casually when they should be grinding Australia down. Looks like a three dayer.

The reason I am saying this is because both Warner and Smith are quality batsmen and have demonstrated ability to bat well in these conditions. If Warner clicks and gets a Warneresque hundred, they can chase around 300.. And still feel there is a big hundred from Smith coming in this series. Don't know about the rest though.
Yes, but you said they'd chase 250+ when they were 260 behind with (now) 5 wickets in the shed.........how many are you expecting them to have to chase and do you believe they can?? Cos from where I'm sitting Aus are ****ed big time.

If you really believe the Aussies are still in this you should get on em at 7.00. Or are you being "sarcastic" again??

Go away Alyssa

Siddle wouldn't let injury get in his way of victory, Warne was right about Mitchy.
Didn't get this and I only just realised Starc's married to Alyssa Healy. Guess you're more up on the WAGs and goss than I am eh.

Right now it's a question of momentum for the Aussies to have even a (very, very, very slight) chance. If Australia bowl them out quickly, a red-blooded chase to 350 is possible. But letting SL grind their way to setting 375 is bad news.

SL's sole priority is to keep the Aussies in the field as long as possible.

Sri Lanka need 50-75 more to bat Aus out of the game. Really need to focus here, don't give them a sniff.

i feel a smaller runup could benefit mmarsh here

smaller runup and trying to really be accurate could work better than trying to bang it on a spinner's pitch and concede free runs

I am not being sarcastic. I am also not saying Australia are winning this guaranteed. All I am saying is, Australia are in this game. Anything under 300 and they have a shot. Warner and Smith hundreds are not implausible or unrealistic. And yeah I wouldn't mind betting.

OK. So according to that they have 9 runs to play with to be "in this game".

Edit:

Hey heard of this thing called test cricket? Try it's cool

I wonder what the average Australian team total is over the past five years away from home. Have there been any big outliers, I guess Lord's last year off the top of my head.

I wouldn't know what test cricket is mate. I can barely watch 4 overs a bowler bowls in T20.

Not sure why you're taking this so personally though.

The 60ao wipes out the million they got at Lords straight back to average score anyway.

I can see what you mean. But how many times has it happened that a winning 4th innings was actually the biggest innings of a test?.
