Part of it was being hit on the head against India in 2014. He was quite open about how it knocked his confidence.
But I think his figures had been in decline before then.

Probably because he'd been figured out as not been particularly good at picking the short one.

He said it shook his confidence massively and he had nightmares about it, so I dunno. He always had a short ball problem though.

TBH over 30 was probably too high, he's always been such an appalling starter, but back then once he got going he was proper good, now he never looks like that.

I'm always happy if he gets over 10 now.
