We'll take him! I don't know too much about him - what can we expect?Head following the grand tradition of messy Aussie lefties moving to the most miserable home ground in England.
Ergh. Hopefully they pick a couple of experienced heads this time. I'm not sure how much there is to be gained from playing with a bunch of other young guys and getting smacked nine times out of ten. I think it did a bit for Cartwright's career but I don't think anyone else saw immediate benefit, even those who went on to play for states/franchises later in the summer.Cricket Australia XI retained for Matador Cup in 2016-17 season | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

Yeah, the CA XI really needs to feature Johan Botha, and maybe see if Haddin/Hussey would play as specialist bats and coach on the side.Ergh. At least one match-winning ton, though.Disappointment eternal
Just to add to Cartwright, I think Swepson and Wildermuth looked promising after debuting for the CA XI.Ergh. Hopefully they pick a couple of experienced heads this time. Hey everyone, predict that a season ago.Australia A squad to face South Africa A: Peter Handscomb (c), Cameron Bancroft, Scott Boland, Jon Holland, Jake Lehmann, Joe Mennie, Kurtis Patterson, Matt Renshaw, Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Swepson, Chris Tremain, Sam Whiteman, Dan Worrall.
No they couldn't. They're still going to all be rejects who couldn't get into their state sides and they're going to be annihilated.Your not going to have state squads at full strength,we are touring S Africa.
So a Cricket Australia xl could do well.
Their is a lot of young talent coming through the system.
They're hardly the most surprising. No one would have even heard of Swepson or Renshaw a season ago.Hey everyone, predict that a season ago.
