**Official** Sri Lanka in England and Ireland 2016

Yes I believe that because he gave the no ball on field ,it couldn't be reversed by third ump but if it were referred by him to check, it would have been deemed legal..don't get me wrong I an NOT saying that decision is reason for us not winning the test( we simply aren't as good as England at the moment) but when things go against you like that and we're already getting whupped it doesn't help.. imo he is the worst umpire going and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near...
Sri Lanka certainly haven't had the best of the marginal calls in this test. As soon as the umpire has called no ball the ball is dead, so although I don't think hales would have changed his stroke he's not out. Sri Lanka aren't as far off England as many think.

No they're quite a bit off. England are better in most - all? - departments.

England are better, but not as much as I thought. Sri Lanka have a decent developing seam attack and I would imagine there top 5 have out scored England. We will win because of Broad and Anderson and runs from 6 and 7.

If you took batting out of the equation, who is England's best keeper? I honestly can't think of an outstanding candidate.

Would be as well batting Bairstow at 5 and bringing back Buttler to glove and bat at 8.
Bates. And he isn't even playing FC any more because he's so underwhelming with the bat. Criminal that Somerset got rid of him after signing sixteen million all-rounders.

Aside from him, you're looking at Foster and Read and neither of those guys are anything other than short term.

I haven't seen a whole lot of footage of Simpson, Richardson or Roderick, but they might be younger guys to look at alongside Foakes/Wheater/Buttler (who I've always considered on the batsman-keeper side of the spectrum in terms of their glovework).

The usual idea is just to pick the guy with the lowest batting average, because they know that cricket is an RPG where you don't have enough stat points to put into both keeping and batting.
Oops.

Time and again Asian teams touring England and Australia lose seminal moments of test matches, thanks to incorrect or marginal decisions.

Hales and Cook top two scorers from top 5 (both teams) in the series. Root hasn't contributed but hope you aren't seriously suggesting he is anywhere near the Lankan top 5.

So far the England top 5 have scored 679 to Sri Lanka's 622. Sri Lanka could of course go ahead today, but they've already lost 25 top 5 wickets to England's 21.

The most shittiest umpiring ever....Asian teams always get robbed by umpires..these oz and eng teams can't win without the help of corrupted umpires.

England top 5 have out scored the Sri Lankan top 5 despite winning twice by an innings

Like the incorrect shot selections their batsmen make or the poor bowling? Both of those make more of an effect on the game then the odd poor umpiring decision.

We need to take advantage of the clouds and clean up ASAP before the rain returns, but these two have found a wee bit of form and are looking stubborn to get out.
