Pretty unimpressive win really, Atletico took out all the good teams for them. Oh well, on with the Euros.

Yeah, so disheartening. Have to deal with the self loving regardless of course. Ronaldo doing **** all for 120 minutes then scoring the winning pen pretty much sums it up.

The commentators kept saying it was a great final for the neutrals. Not sure why. Couldn't cheer for either of the teams. Barcelona fans supporting Atletico can **** off too.

I feel for Simeone. Atletico leading in the final of the 2014 CL until just minutes from the final whistle and then losing to a Ramos header was heart-breaking and they can't get theirs back today as well. Simeone talking to his players as though they had just lost a sunday league match was pretty endearing though. Even though I was neutral, Juanfran's face after missing that penalty got me just a little.

Come on mate, we may have been defensive and a bit ugly to watch but we deserved to win every game and were the better team. Chelsea a few years back were pretty lucky though.
Yeah and at least the class player you had turned up on the big night.

I not a Liverpool fan but Gerrard dragged you through that game and a few others that season which is some effort.

I mean, Chelsea, as scummy as they were, atleast had the weird situation where they had Di Matteo as manager and were relative underdogs. Here, not only have Real been utterly uninspiring in their football, they've also had a ridiculously easy run to the final (Wolfsburg and Man City? Jesus), don't have any sort of narrative going for them, and had pricks like Pepe in the team to boot. Absolutely awful any way you look at it.

Ronaldo definitely didn't seem fit but I'm not sure how much of it you can give a pass to. It's a bit weird how a player with such an ungodly record can go missing in these kinds of games. I liked the young Ronaldo in 2004 Euros, where he was busting a gut and trying to win for his team.
