In fairness I could say the same about every League 2 side I've seen this year.

Decided to delete my posts pertaining to the League Two Final. I've decided to see it as a dress rehearsal for how England are likely to perform at the Euros.

Prety much, not been a great division and dominated by thuggery cynicism, overly physical play, and long ball tsactics personified by this match. Morecambe about the only decent footballing team in the division really. Ho-hum, can only be better next season.

Really? I've not been to a Morecambe game for a bit could be about 2 years now, but by god they were awful last time I was there.

Not much difference between League 2 and the better conference sides, but beyond that it's scary how much worse it gets

Well, the thing is the cynicism is much better and professional in general, which is basically the difference ATM. We're generally lousy at it.

Which I know sounds a bit of a weak excuse, like we're too noble to be competing, but in the end it's about time we learnt to mix it in some way. Personally I believe it's all down to the awfulness of officials who just don't seem to have any idea of the basic consistent niggly fouling, time-wasting, play-acting and blatant intimidation by players, coaches and managers.

Don't really know how it can be turned round ATM, because it isn't fun too watch.

Our problem in this division was just that. Too naive against teams who come to take fifteen seconds on every goal kick from the off

For the first half of this season we played the best football I've seen in League 2 for many years. We had a high tempo, passing, pressing game that was very attractive to watch and very effective. It was sussed out around half way through the season and we had nothing else up our sleeve. We were 13 points clear of 4th place and even a poor to mediocre run would have been enough to stumble into third. He had five months to come up with something but never did. We completely capitulated - the culmination of which was the pitiful performance at Wembley.

When does new news become next season instead of this season? I see this thread was started on June 15th last year - but indications are that Furball was admitting to being a bit premature, and seemingly in more ways than one.
