Well Simmons has never been reliable. You never know when he will have a flurry of good scores or be ordinary.

Outside the IPL yeah you are probably right, but in the IPL the guy has been immense. Second highest scorer overall last year and in his debut despite only playing 8 games scored over 500 runs and was Mumbai's second highest scorer and averaged over 50. He is erratic in West Indies colors, but when it comes to Mumbai, he couldn't have done anymore whatsoever since he was signed.

Guptil may have done more internationally, but its going to be tough work for him to fill the void left by Simmons.

Many players and commentators add Indian aspects to experience a new culture. Many Indians find it unusual but there is nothing extraordinary about it. You go often to a place, you try to experience it. It is a sharp contrast to the earlier decades but it was a different world back then. Also less tours and less time to know the countries.

RCB are an attractive batting line up and they're a good shout, but it's probably Pune for me now, because of all the CSK players.

Yo duffer, come to think of it, isn't a CSK supporter now supporting RCB kinda like an Australian supporting England after Australia get binned? I mean yeah sure, RCB fans aren't annoying whingers - credit where credit is due - but the analogy holds otherwise IMO.
