Milne got a taste of what its like to bowl to Hooda
Just watched the recording of the game and whilst Milne wasn't great, I thought he bowled much better than his figured of 1-43 from 4 suggest. Didn't have a lot of luck and was on the receiving end of several jammy shots.

Milne has a lovely rhythmic action and reminds me a lot of Bond (even has some resemblance) but I've never seen him move the ball.

Yup, and not surprising since Bond was Milne's hero growing up and has had lots to do with his development.

Edit: Oh, and he can get shape when he's in good rhythm but not that often.

Bhuvneshwar worked for MS when he was bowling slower line and length as he prefers that kinds of bowlers. After he tried to put in a bit of pace, he became inconsistent. I still feel it's good for him in the long run to have that extra pace but he is going to be a big risk in these matches for now.

ABDV can be so good.

Imagine how ordinary SA would be without him. Can't think of any instances of a team being so reliant on one player. Maybe SL with Murali.

Goddamn what an innings by Sarfaraz.Just the kind of late order flourish RCB needed.

I dint know we had snapped up Jadhav as well.Batting depth looks immense now,way better than what RCB had in previous yrs.

Kohli's strategy now will be pretty clear.Win the toss and chase pretty much every game.

I am still skeptical about this team defending big totals.SRH's batting was filled with scrubs and out of form players.A better batting team would've chased down yesterday's total imo.

I don`t know if this statement was only for T20`s but, in T20 he is overall been poor for SA. Faf and believe it or not Duminy have performed better. Why this is nobody knows, maybe a panel of psychologists can explain!

Regarding ODI`s and tests, AB is brilliant in ODI and great in Tests. But it is Amla which is the rock that SA stands on more than anybody else both in ODI`s and Tests. And he does pretty well in T20`s.. We had one of our worst year/season in a long time and Amla also had his worst season... poor evidence but IMO very correlative. With no Kallis and Smith, Amla is our only rock in the batting department. .

Also dis-regarding our entire bowling attack (without injuries)... and stating that the team is built around AB.. well what can I say but that you are wrong.

Wouldn't be surprised I've seen SA play like once or twice in the last 2-3 years tbh

I was aware however he hasn't had the results you'd hope for which is why I said "he can be so good". And what you say makes sense because AB not actually performing as well as he can, could be a big reason SA have gone off the boils a bit lately as in international side.

Regarding the AB discussion. I've been waiting for almost 2 years for him to do well for SA and turn around his record but game after game he's been nothing but mediocre and when that keeps happening again and again I think the better option would be for SA to look at someone else.

Once again in T20 yes, he has been disappointing. ODI and Test a different story. He is a key player in he SA line-up, but the team is not built around him alone. And dropping AB in any formats is not going to happen as long as he is happy with the workload... he is to devastating a player to leave out. Few batsmen in the world could compare to AB in full flow.

Windies with Lara is the definition of reliance on one player in my time of watching cricket. Sachin for India in ODIs in the 90s comes close but the Prince still shades it for me.

Nah just need to get AB in at 3 for T20s and keep him at 4 for both tests and ODIs. Those are his best batting positions IMO. Move the rest of the blokes around him as much as you want coz he is the one with the class and the ability to win games in that line up.

AB isn't better or more important than Amla or Steyn in tests, a few players in T20s. ODIs it is fairish shout though.

I read on cricinfo that there has been a massive tremor felt around the ground. Hope everyone is safe! Is this a feature of that part of India?
