Totally agree about the Lallana miss. Just piss-poor not to be getting his head over the ball so that the keeper actually would have had to make a save. Other than that, the wrongly disallowed goal perhaps evened up by Butland not being able to get down to save Kroos' shot. So's the performance. Wondering if I'm watching the same game as Clive (I'm ignoring Hoddle because he's never spoke sense). He seems to think England are lucky to be going in behind, when it looks to me Germany are walking this in 2nd gear, and can easilystep up a few notches whereas we cant. That miss from Lallana was awful - firstly for not shouting to Welbeck there's a man on, then spooning a sitting ball so poorly, should at least hit the target.
Unbelievably good after Kane's goal. They completely played the Germans off the park for the last 30 minutes or so and absolutely deserved the win. This has been surprisingly great. Thought it would meander to a draw after Alli's horrendous miss, but no.
He's a clown.England have been much better than Germany throughout. Löw is a disgrace.
Until Rooney returns and the team lose loads of pace. What an incredible final half an hour from England, exciting times for the fans with all the youngsters coming through.
Point taken about the press, but I think the win will do a lot for the players' self-belief. They seemed to be playing without any fear anyway, but to win away to the world champions like this should give them something to hold onto as and when things get tricky in the summer. And actually I think lack of self-belief has been a far bigger problem for English football teams than over-confidence over the years.Great comeback but the worst possible thing that could have happened. The press will now spend the next 3 months telling us we will win the euros and then slag the side off the moment they get knocked out.
