Darmian having a solid game at RB, gets switched to LB and almost immediately gives away a goal. LVG...

Standard van Gaal fare this.. fluke a win every now and again against a big name side and somehow earn a stay of execution... until the next defeat to Swansea or whoever.

City's demise this season is so unsatisfactory. Seems like hardly anyone really cares because Pep is going to come and save the day soon. Wish they'd just won the league.

Rashford has played so well today and been great with his movement. Will be left midfield next game. #lvgthoughts

Scarcely believable that there is still a top 4 spot there for the taking if we can just put a decent run of form together. That shouldn'tbe possible the way United have played this season.

It's an intriguing possibility that Pep might actually take over a Europa League team.

Imagine if you beat city to 4th but they won the CL and Liverpool won the Europa

Almost made a post a few weeks back joking about how the top four would end up being Leicester, Tottenham, West Ham and this United team. Would've been interesting if the Hammers hadn't got robbed yesterday...

As if Arsenal would fail to get top 4, that win yesterday was classic Arsenal.

I'm not convinced it's just that Citeh don't care after today. Home derby in a huge match for top 4 and they still were poor, it must be something else. Too many players in rapid decline maybe?

They have been pretty crap all season apart from those first 5 games. It is always the go to thing with them though, just blame it on them not caring or being mercenaries, when most of them have actually been at the club for ages.

They've got a surprisingly **** squad for the money spent. They've a revolving door of expensive mediocrity to partner Kompany when he's actually fit, their full back options are **** other than Zabaleta, I don't rate their central midfielders at all, Toure's on the wane, Bony is utter pony, Navas is hopeless when he gets near goal, Sterling's still raw and Aguero has hamstrings made of glass. He's also had quite a poor (by his own standards) season.

Heard a stat that Navas had played the 2nd most amount of games for them in all comps this season, which kind of says it all re Furball's point. I think UC is right about the declining thing though. People keep talking about their core four, but they're all either the wrong side of 30 and past their best or really injury prone now. A lot of the guys they've brought in to mitigate that haven't been much help either, Fernando, Delph, Bony etc have all been pretty ****. They definitely have defensive issues that come from coaching though IMO. They've spent lots of money on CBs but they've all looked pretty shaky at best in the last couple of seasons, for the most part.

Klopp selecting and bringing on Skrtel has been his worst move so far. He was awful in the U/21s game, and shouldn't have made it near the squad. Disappointing.
