Norwood's on Fire
He was bad before Chelsea though.
Well yeah, end of 09-10 from memory, gash in the WC and then **** for the first half of 10-11. Injuries could account for the stuff up to and around the WC and he had mentally left Liverpool after that, so I don't think anyone felt his decline was terminal at that stage. Could be wrong.

But the real truth here is I think talking of players being Chelsead needs to become a thing. See also, Shevchenko, Crespo, Scott Parker () etc etc etc

It's not all that matters though.

Hopefully it shows the days of clubs treating them like "Leicester" rather than the side who are top of the league are over. Lets see how they cope with teams adopting similar tactics who also haven't been the leakiest defence in the league.

I swear goals like that happen reasonably regularly and they just let the opposition score without challenge? Seems really poor from the team that scored.

Depends what you class as regular but yeah normally there's a walk through, or of course there was the time Arsenal replayed the match against Sheffield United.

I just find the way the scorer celebrates while everyone else is looking round like wtf incredible

Bottom line. We needed Braintree to drop points so despite it being morally outrageous, I for one applaud Guiseley for this

He never got better though, isn't that the definition of terminal? What people thought at the time really has no bearing.

The commentators tried to justify it by saying the keeper really should've tried to stop the ball, which is fair enough in a sense - he has just stood and watched it all the way and not given two hoots about stopping it out of some notion that a conference player should be playing it to feet from that distance. Do think its poor form not to let them score, but Guiseley are facing a relegation battle, and in a sense it wasn't overly their fault...

All the best in the Cup, Smittens. Although I hope you understand that I need Snakeling to be humbled.

Yeah, they were good together. But Torres used to score a lot of individual goals back then, even when Gerrard was crap (like in Benitez's last season). He just lost that acceleration after the injuries.
Stevie had a serious injury at the end of the 08-09 season (the Rafa title run season) and Torres was injured for a lot of that season. The next season Gerrard was basically playing with pain killers just to be on the pitch and in some ways Torres had lost his explosiveness. He still had a decent record but it was clear for a lot of Liverpool fans that he was never gonna be the same again. When Chelsea came for £50m, it was far too much.

And Braintree are a serious threat to our promotion chances (a sentence I never thought I'd write in all my life) and that's the main thing

Today is the first time in history that Arsenal are favourites for a Premier League match at Old Trafford.

1-0 loss incoming.
