It's a shame we sent Southee in so early. A flukey slog would have been lovely at this point of the innings.

Why is Southee getting so much hate? He's clearly been told to bat like this and that what he's doing is perfectly ok. Boult and Henry bat almost exactly the same way, though admittedly Henry had the sense to take the easy runs after he got the hard ones.

agree 100% these kind of tailenders are actually very valuable IMO

Well deserved 5 for Bird, didn't think he had that in him during the first test, looked terrible.

Solid effort from NZ. Overall 335 isn't a great score but it's enough to give them an outside chance.

One of Boult or Southee breaking out of their slump would help.
