Jamieson #reking the Starghs. Does anyone know what speeds he was registering in the Ford Trophy final? If he's anywhere north of 130 he could yet become a really handy player.

This would've been a better one for fans of Bowes. Should've had the plum wicket of Young.

Mid 120s seems his average pace.

Watched O'Donnell's boundaries earlier, hoping to see something aesthetic. They weren't particularly. Also was opening up his stance a lot some parts of the innings - unsure why. Still I have high hopes for him.

In other North Otago news, I can report Bruce Edgar has emailed back, saying he's keen to gather more information on bringing Nathan Smith back to Chubb.

Nice googly by Sodhi to get Broom.

While B Wilson - for an opener on 64, and a match double of 97 and 64 - the feet movement in his dismissal defies belief.

I wonder what Auckland are trying to achieve here. Lead by 338 runs, with just under a day and half left. Team strike rate of 3 an over. No one batting at a strike rate of over 50 since the opener Guptill-Bunce got out.

I'd understand continuing to bat on if they were lifting the run rate. But their 9 and 10 are cruising a long with 40s each off 90 balls.

Not the first time this year Rob Nicol has me a bit puzzled.

Some really nice dismissals in that Sodhi set - though his celebration after cleaning up Spuderford will surely induce Blocky to rage about Sodhi's arrogance and self-aggrandisment.
