Kneejerk if you're talking red ball. No way is this the case.Matt Henry might already be better than Southee. If I was Tim Southee I'd be getting ready for the likelihood of becoming the third seamer.

Slowly fella. International cricket is a grind. Henry has hit the ground running, just as Tim did. I know their ages were different but it's about sustaining it when you've had enough of being on the road, teams have worked you out, playing in different conditions on different pitches etc. If you're talking ODIs, then sure Henry has the right stuff to be as good as Tim with the new ball, but he's not a jot on him as the game progresses and especially at the death. Tests, well it's not even a conversation.Matt Henry might already be better than Southee. If I was Tim Southee I'd be getting ready for the likelihood of becoming the third seamer.

Bowes, eager to advance his cricket career, decided to move to Christchurch late last year. Having spoken to former Black Caps skipper Stephen Fleming, who offered some encouraging words about the opportunities of playing in New Zealand, he joined his Sydenham club.
Stead has liked Bowes' attitude and the fact he recently scored 120 runs against Auckland A didn't hurt, either. "He's in good form. He brings to us the batting all-rounder who can bat in the top four for us."
Leo Carter and Davidson will open the batting.
Left-hander Davidson also impressed by getting "60-odd" runs against Auckland A and Stead has already had some dealings with him during the one-day format.
Yeah that second ball to him was very good. 'Swing the new cherry both ways' Rance.Don't bowl on his pads
At least Papps had the decency to get out to Bates instead. I really would've been tasting it if he got out to McAndrew.Wellington finding McAndrew to be a worthy Plunket Shield adversary I'm afraid, Cribbage.
