Had forgotten about Soper. Looked a good Plunket level prospect.

Wagner, Duffy, Smith, Hunter, Soper means Otago have good depth (well, let's refine that as potentially good depth. Still some raw bowlers there.)

Warren Barnes was going reasonably for them too. Plus they'll see more of Neesham than they thought. They should really go a lot closer to taking the PS than their 10/1 odds suggest.

Ravlic has only played one A tourney. 2014/15. Took only 2 wickets in 7 games.
Never played any u19 tourneys.

Navin Patel even studies in Wellington I think. I'd like Otago to keep believing in the future of Duffy so we can pinch Nathan Smith.

Congratulations to Michael Ravlic who claimed his 200th wicket in Premier cricket on Friday (Waitangi Day) versus Birkenhead. Rav now has 202 wickets

Club stats are there. Just not quite quick enough or tall enough to invest in it seems they've decided on Ravlic.

Sears, 17, plans to continue with cricket, and probably football, after he leaves school. An excellence-level student, he will attend Victoria University next year.

Yeah I'd doubt he'll be spending March with the Firebirds rather than at school, no matter how depleted the attack gets.

McPeake injured as well. I think he was in the pecking order but lost out due to injury. Don't think he's even playing club prems.

Ben Sears maybe but Ravindra? Rachin Ravindra is a 5th former at school. Perhaps they can play but are Firebirds daring enough? Otago played Finne last year, he's been all right. We need to push for local talents otherwise in this time and age it's only a matter of time Sears and Ravindra will be lost for Wellington. Perhaps not Ravindra but Sears will be looked at by others surely.

i wasn't really being that serious. i just want to watch them play more, and wellington keep picking up boring imports from sydney instead.
