I`m not a big fan of de Lange, he is quick as you say, but his control can be very poor. And I`m not confident of his long term prospects, particularly at international level, because his action is so very tough on his body.Marchant De Lange is really, really quick but seems to get plundered whenever he plays an England A or warm up game.
I think he is a good death bowler in domestic cricket (much like Abbott) but at international level I think he will (and does) get found out. I think our best death bowler is probably Morkel, when he gets his yorkers right along with his normal back of a length stuff it makes him difficult to target.He is one of the better death bowlers in SA. He seems to struggle when bowling up front thought.
There's a reasonable chance he ends up there in the end imo.I'd be open to experimenting with Root opening actually.
