Wouldn't matter what Worker did he wouldn't get any kudos or support from the 'experts' on this site. He's got a great record in white ball cricket, took his opportunities on the tour to Africa, hit a match winning innings today but let's not give him an ounce of credit or suggest he should get more games for the BC's.

Jeez. Cool your knickers, Mrs. Worker.

apologies to kippax for sending the engine room meme to the overuse graveyard along with cake and icing. Please come up with something new for us to all copy.

Cake and icing wasn't overused, it's more that ODIs don't actually matter outside of the World Cup. She'll be back

Which batsmen didn't Canterbury pick? None that I can think of. Astle's and Ellis' records are pretty good at List A level (better than I thought, especially Astle) so I can't see what they'd have done differently without Nicholls/Latham. And as much as I don't like the guy, Ronnie opening got them that far.

Tom Bruce needs to find himself in a national set-up sooner rather than later. Has something special about him.

And a big lol at Skippy for attributing a catch to a guy who wasn't in the XII and to my knowledge not even at the ground, solely based on skin colour. My god he is a horrible commentator. In fact worst I can remember to ever get a gig.

Oh and for Skyliner's benefit, Worker is also good at cricket.

Hell, even below jamieson? Ok, maybe he is injured?
yeah, I headed out not long after posting that and was bitterly disapointed to hear that McClure suffered a groin injury early on. I think he sounds like quite an exciting prospect and was looking forward to seeing how he'd go.

I missed the Bruce innings, that is outrageous.

So, Buller have just taken first innings against Canterbury Country. They'll be looking to bat out the rest of the day and avoid an outright loss to take the Hawke Cup.

If they hold on it'd be an outrageous result. Massive upset on the cards.

Wow. I read that it was the first time they'd ever managed to qualify for a challenge in their 100 and something odd year history.

I happened to check the Hawke Cup score as Can't Country needed 5 off the last ball for outright win to retain the cup. They got a single. Buller win on first innings. New Hawke Cup holders.

4 teams in Buller and they can't fill them half the time. Basically if you play any cricket in Buller you have a 1 in 3 chance of now being the Hawke Cup champion.
