let's dial it back a bit and return to the topic

kane richardson getting motm shows that the people who give the award don't actually watch the games

better candidates:
warner
finch
smith
maxwell
hastings
kohli
dhawan

ffs
Absolutely. Man of the Match has often been a contentious issue and never seems to have any real rhyme or formula to it.

I know in the past people have said that MOTM should be whoever has the biggest influence on their side winning, and in that sense I can sort of see where they're coming from in that Richardson took all those wickets.

thing is i see it as this.

the president gets shot (australia) purely because of the fact his bodyguard was being useless (richardson's spell when he opened). someone comes and does all the medical ****, performs CPR, takes him to the hospital, etc (Hastings), and then when the bodyguard comes back to pick up the prez from the hospital and take him home he gets all the plaudits

and that's just the case for hastings, the batsmen have huge cases as well

We need a Direness bar here tbh. Lots of pent up anger and dickishness on the forums. We need an outlet.
I consider the Direness Bar to be a bit of a failure tbh. People are too human to compartmentalise their feuding like that.

It allows you to be a lot stricter when it comes to infractions and bans on main CW tho.
Yeah but you'd just end up with the more passionate types baited in the Direness Bar by calculated trolls and banned for not compartmentalising and biting back in OT or CC.

... thinking back to how you engaged with Blocky and WW, I can see why you like this idea.

Go kick your dog or flog your kids.......don't think an online forum is the place to unload pent up anger.

Well back to the cricket Richie, Australia are going great and it lovely to see two great players Smith and Warner at the crease, it just doesent get any better than this.

but your kids and pet are fair game!
Yep, I really am a dead set ****........but I'm a poster with an "almost" spotless infraction history so I reckon I've got my priorities right.

I do jest btw, before anyone sends child welfare and RSPCA knocking on my door.

It's not hard to stick someone on your ignore list ffs.

Back onto Smith, sure he wanders around half of the ground while the bowler's running up, which seems to confuse a lot of people as to how "bad" his technique is. He's pretty ****ing still when the bowler actually releases the ball.

Whatever it takes!!!
Yep.. someone once posted it here right. He is the only one who can go from winking at the square leg umpiire to driving a full fast ball straight down the ground for four, within a few milliseconds, that is.. :)
