-On the plus side it was good to see Darren Bravo and Kraigg Braithwaite bat so well and Carlos Braithwaite looks a handy addition to the side. The batting lineup for now should be:
Great analysis, Beamer - but I just felt I should question the positive result for Carlos. Obviously he stood up with the bat when few others did, but surely he can't remain in the team unless he's able to show a bit more with the ball? I don't want to judge him harshly based on a tough tour to Australia in a Test summer where few overseas seamers have fared well, but he's going to have to take some wickets to remain in the side. Same goes for Holder - I'm not convinced the balance in this WI team is workable - Ramdin isn't a number 6, Holder isn't (yet) a number 7 and Brathwaite can only be a number 8 if he can contribute with the ball moreso than he contributes with the bat. Assuming there's a batsman available who can contribute more than Carlos, then I can see that he has to be squeezed out of the team so Ramdin moves to 7, Holder to 8 until Holder can demostrate whether he's a full all-rounder at Test level or whether he'll always be a bowling all-rounder.

Is there any chance at all that Fidel Edwards could un-Kolpak himself for say the T20 WC, or did he sign on with Hampshire again for 2016?

Samuels wouldn't be officially banned or anything, but without his bowling he's not exactly a must sign talent

Fidel was brilliant for the half a season he played fc for Hampshire last year. Lost a bit of pace but seemed to have gained more control. Looked top drawer in English conditions

Player rankings of Australia's summer of test cricket
Australian Summer of Test Cricket Player Rankings ? SportingHQ
"Please note non Australian players are ranked with a bit more leeway due to the fact they only played three tests rather than six"

--> goes on to rank Steve O'Keefe almost last due to only playing 1 test despite playing very well. Not exactly consistent logic.

other than that rankings look pretty sensible

Have CA just given up on bilateral ODI's that don't involve India/Sri Lanka/England? This must be the first time neither of the test touring sides have been retained for a one-day series

Fair point but ranking someone like Kane Williamson who played 3 test is much easier than ranking Steve O'keefe who didn't even play half a test match.

Mark Craig actually bowled ok for the conditions. When you look at the conditions he had to deal with and the fact it wasn't a great summer for any of the bowlers. Bravo was actually the second highest scorer for the whole series. Without him imagine how back the Windies would have been.
