You could somewhat justify his exclusion if everyone was in good nick, but bar AB and Elgar, you wouldn't back any of these guys to get a 50 this series.

One of JP or Duminy need to go if they don't add something next innings and Van Zyl for Cook please. They deserve to get slaughtered next test if they line up with this batting line next week.

Yerp, and when a **** white player is in the team they never get that moniker thrown at them. I'm still waiting to find out what van Zyl does, other than score crucial pressure 100s coming in at 365-5 against the mighty West Indies.

Yeah, the loss of Philander hits them harder as they lose a quality bowler and they have to mess with the side.

Can see why they didn't play Rabada here as they needed the spinner and wanted the extra batsman so it was him or Abbott and they went for Abbott.

Must be frustrating for an SA fan that what they think is the best side isn't always picked due to the quota system or even the system used as an excuse.
